I’m Kristie Thebo, a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a focus on empowering individuals and families to navigate their mental health journey. As a Limited Licensed Masters Level Social Worker, I hold a graduate degree from Michigan State University and have a strong background in community mental health.
With over three years of experience in Community Mental Health and seven years in various social work services, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. I specialize in assisting individuals with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues, providing tailored support and interventions.
Creating a safe and inclusive environment is essential to me, which is why I am proud to be LGBTQIA+ safe and affirming. I believe in honoring and embracing the unique experiences and identities of all individuals who seek my guidance.
My therapeutic approach integrates various modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, and art therapy. This allows me to tailor my treatment strategies to meet the specific needs and goals of each client.
Through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, I aim to empower individuals to discover their innate potential, develop effective coping skills, and foster positive change. I am passionate about providing a nurturing and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while cultivating self-awareness and resilience.
